In working on a vintage home, you want to respect its character and proportions – inside and out. You want to enhance it so that it looks as good or better, but as if unchanged.

 

For this 1920s house, that meant stripping the vinyl and restoring the original siding and trim. The redesigned entry not only offers cover for guests and the added safety of handrails, it also presents a more inviting street presence. The top and middle left pictures show the house before renovation.
