For two generations, my family has worked in the building trades, everything from construction to landscape architecture, and all with a strong commitment to the environment and sustainability. We used Steele Kellogg to design a new house in a suburban community. Our request was for a first-floor master bedroom and fully accessibility throughout the house; energy efficiency; and great design that would work well with existing houses in the neighborhood. The firm collaborated with us to incorporate our ideas along with their design expertise. Architect Christon Kellogg connected us to a great contractor whose high standards matched our own, and introduced us to the new (to us) world of geothermal systems, triple-glazed windows, and dense insulation. The result is a home that is extraordinarily comfortable, energy efficient, and beautiful throughout.
